We present to you the new coach who joins the school of BC Balkan - Dimitris Papadopoulos, occupying the position of Head Coach of 16-year-old boys, Head Coach of 15-year-old boys, plus individual training to improve the qualities of the players.
He brings with him serious international experience in the work and development of young players, which is the main goal of the BC Balkan Junior School, proof of which are 5 boys who will play from this season in the highest level of the NCAA in the USA.
His professional path includes working at some of the leading basketball schools in Greece, including Aris BC, Panathlitikos and Iraklis, where he was in charge of teams in various age groups, as well as part of the coaching staff of the Iraklis men's team. In the 2022/2023 season, he combines his youth work as Head Coach of Under-16s and Under-18s, with the role of Assistant Coach of the men's team.
In Bulgaria, he is known for his work as Assistant Coach of the Bulgarian National Women's Team and Senior Coach of the Under-16 Girls' National Team, as well as joint individual work with a number of professional basketball players.

2nd place in Greece with Panathlitikos U18 – 2025
2nd place at EuroBasket as Technical Advisor of the Bulgarian national team U16 girls – 2025
2nd place in Thessaloniki with Aris U16 – 2026
